ICAS
What is ICAS? ICAS is a multinational company that takes examinations in different schools around the world. ICAS stands for International Competitions and Assessments for Schools. ICAS happens in the same years NAPLAN which stands for National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy and is an Australian only program by the Australian government and is a test to see how students are progressing and how schools are teaching their students. The results are given to the school and the parents of the child. NAPLAN is a free program made by the government and happens in years 3, 5, 7, and 9. ICAS happens in the same years except it is a paid program that costs around 80 AUD or about 60 USD.
What is the purpose of ICAS? The purpose of ICAS is to see what students can and can't do at a certain point in time.
